AI is just hype without the right data

Companies that succeed with AI are not necessarily those with the fanciest models, but the ones that took the time to get their data in order

    • AI is only as good as the data it is given. Think of data as the raw material, AI models as the machinery, and insights as the finished product. If the raw materials are flawed, even the most advanced machines will churn out defective products.

VIDEO rental chain Blockbuster dismissed streaming until it was too late. Today, businesses are facing a similar shift – this time with artificial intelligence (AI). But the difference is, the disruption is happening much faster and companies have less time to catch up.

Across Asia-Pacific, many businesses, from small enterprises to large corporations, are struggling to get useful insights from their data. Teams spend hours pulling numbers and building dashboards, while decision-makers wait days for information they should have instantly. This is not just inefficient, in fast-moving markets, it puts businesses at a serious disadvantage.

Ask any business leader and they will share the same frustration: requesting a simple report and waiting days for answers, only to have to ask for more details that restart the entire process.
