Americans can't afford to tune out Trump
Voters seem to be doing just that, and excusing his behaviour by saying 'He is what he is'. But this is a man with the power to upend their lives. They should watch his antics - closely.

RESPONDING to the 24/7 bombardment of news and opinion through the print, broadcast and social media, I have developed my own protective mechanism that allows me to filter out information that for some reason is of no interest to me.
I just let my brain send messages to the organs of my visual system and order them to "unsee" news reports, op-ed pieces, online blogs, Facebook posts and tweets on certain topics and personalities.
For example, I really do not care what has been happening to members of the Kardashian family - what Kim is thinking about climate change, what Kayne West's views on race issues are, or how Caitlyn Jenner is handling her/his sex change.
