REASSESSING the presidency of Donald Trump, recall the number of times the American mainstream media (MSM) had written his political obituaries, predicting again and again that "this time he's finished!".
Indeed, those were certainly the sentiments in Washington following the never-ending congressional and media investigations of Mr Trump's alleged ties to Russia aka Russiagate, and his ensuing impeachment by the House of Representatives, leading most pundits to conclude that he would not come out alive out of this!
Well, for those who may have forgotten, contrary to these forecasts about his demise, Mr Trump was close to getting re-elected in November 2020, and very few mention these days his bromance with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Bottom line: A day in politics is a lifetime, a year is an eternity.
