Young people are increasingly voting with their feet, and politicians should take note that many of the schoolchildren who have been taking to the streets as part of the global climate strike - motivated in large part by the rhetoric and pioneering spirit of their young peer Greta Thunberg - will soon be voting at the ballot box.
A profound sense is emerging that climate change is finally taking centrestage. Hopefully there is now no turning back.
