'Comply or explain' to be elucidated

I REFER to the letter headlined "Comply or risk breaching listing rules" by Mr Tan Lye Huat (BT, Oct 21).

The Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), with the support of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX), is producing a series of corporate governance guides for listed companies in Singapore.

The first of the guidebooks - the Nominating Committee Guide - was launched by Minister Grace Fu on Aug 28.
