Cybersubversion arrives as a new medium of news warfare

NAPOLEON Bonaparte said that "four hostile newspapers are more to be feared than a thousand bayonets". The times have changed so much that one cyberattack is to be feared more than an army of hostile newspapers.

Such times call for a proper official response to the phenomenon of fake news. States must not utilise such news even when it helps them. Also, they must prevent public opinion within their borders from being swayed.
