SINGAPORE'S Smart Nation initiative was launched in 2014 with the bold ambition of harnessing technology and big data to improve lives, create economic activity and build a closer community. From healthcare to public security to the convenience of a cashless society, data is being aggregated and analysed to deliver apps that make Singaporeans' lives run more smoothly.

    DATA IS EVERYWHERE

Data is indeed at the very heart of today's society. As consumers, data helps us shop online and book our transport. It helps us pay our bills, and find out when the next bus will arrive. It lets the library alert us to return our books, and access government portals to check our CPF or confirm if we're eligible for the bonus announced in Budget 2018.
