Does whatever Trump says make some sense?

Or is it time to invoke the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution? But it is doubtful that it is going to be invoked now that a "stable genius" is sitting in the Oval Office

EVERY time the current White House occupant says something that sounds really stupid, or perhaps even a bit crazy, my online Trumpist friends always come up with an explanation. You have to give them some credit. They do try to make sense of President Donald Trump's latest late night/early morning tweet, and more recently, the daily press "briefings" he has been conducting on the White House South Lawn as the Marine One helicopter rotors blast in the background.

These daily chaotic exchanges between the president and the press corps - masquerading as so-called press "availabilities" or "gaggles" and named "chopper talks" by late-night comedian Stephen Colbert - coupled with the online combat by the Tweeter-in-Chief's bombardment of tweets, may confuse many who watch it live on television.

Their immediate reaction would not be unlike the way most of us deal with a close friend who seems to be behaving strangely in recent days: "Perhaps you should talk with someone." And if things do not change, one has to consider the possibility of an "intervention" by your friend's buddies and family members.
