LET'S imagine that using the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) we feed a robot with all the available information on the evolution of the role of the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, or the National Security Advisor, since that position was created at the start of the Cold War.

The robot absorbs all the material we provide about the 22 heads of the National Security Council (NSC) who served as chief advisers to US presidents on national security affairs - about their personalities as well as their educational and professional backgrounds. Then it is asked to pull out the name of a smart, experienced and fair-minded man or a woman who will be able to offer daily advice to POTUS (President of the United States) independently of the vested interests of the various national security and foreign policy agencies.
