DTZ still home to a high-performing team

I REFER to the article "Chestertons sets up associates arm, targets 300-strong team" (BT, Aug 4). In the article, Mr Donald Han was quoted as saying that out of the 100 real-estate salespersons who have joined or will eventually join Chestertons, most are from DTZ. He added that his associates are "high revenue generators", and that his firm focuses on the "20 per cent" who are high-performance brokers (as opposed, presumably, to the other relatively less productive 80 per cent).

He also said that " ... big does not necessarily mean productive".

All these statements, taken together, may convey the mistaken impression that DTZ's high-performing associates are joining Chestertons.

DTZ would like to clarify that its ability to provide leading-edge property brokerage services has in no way been affected. Almost all of our Top 100 Producers for 2014 are still with us, so it is clear that DTZ is still home to a high-performing team.

People join and leave organisations; that's a given. Though some of our associates may leave for other agencies, there are new hires joining us at the same time, many of whom are seasoned industry professionals with prior experience in other property broking firms. Last year, we welcomed close to 300 associates, and since January this year, we have had some 150 associates coming on board. We are continually injecting new blood into the firm, making arrangements for succession and continuity, so the reality is - it's business as usual.
