THERE IS no doubt that in today's world, we must continually respond and adapt to evolve the way we do business. Following a recent leadership panel discussion that I hosted virtually with several real estate leaders, it has become more discernible that as we look beyond Covid-19, a mindset shift is necessary in navigating the road to recovery.
For one, the mantra of "location, location, location" in the real estate industry may no longer be applicable to property owners who want to thrive in this rapidly changing landscape.
Even before the outbreak of Covid-19, rapid changes were already taking place in the real estate sector, particularly in the office space. While companies once sought to centralise most of their operations in key hubs, they now look for a network of locations that better cater to a more mobile workforce.
