Healthcare AI set to revolutionise the way illness is managed
VISITING the doctor will soon be a very different experience as artificial intelligence (AI) dramatically transforms healthcare across Asia.
As patients, we are likely to notice the most significant changes in two broad areas. One is how diseases and illnesses are discovered and treated. We'll see big improvements in diagnosis and we'll take strides towards eradicating preventable diseases.
The other area is how we will be cared for in the new digital world. We'll visit the doctor less, thanks partly to home monitoring systems. Precision medicine will also offer us a new way to access healthcare that is potentially more effective and less toxic than traditional methods.
