How to deal with an insecure boss from hell
Build a relationship and take a proactive approach in gaining your superior's trust
IF your boss micro-manages, claims all the credit, or even sets employees up to fail, that person is highly likely to be an insecure leader.
While everyone is probably insecure to some extent, a leader's behaviour has an exceptionally magnified effect on everyone. After all, as the old adage goes: people leave managers, not companies.
When a leader is concerned only about protecting his own interests and looking good to higher-ups, it often results in additional - and unnecessary - work for team members, poor morale and lower performance in general.
