IT seems silly to get all riled up over the cold perming of a 2-year-old's hair but when parents justify such antics on the grounds that it's their child and they can do what they like, it went beyond tabloidy nonsense.
The New Paper on Thursday had a two-page eye candy spread on kiddy perms and their celebrity mums, with blogger Xiaxue looking very ex-Machina.
Being the responsible tabloid, the paper provided sidebars that included "Are kiddy perms safe?" and "Local celeb parents say . . .".
