THE CPF Advisory Panel's proposal for a low-cost "Lifetime Retirement Investment Scheme'' (LRIS) is broadly similar to one that was first mooted more than a decade ago, in the form of a "private pension plan''.
Like the PPP, the scheme - which has been accepted by Minister of Manpower Lim Swee Say - addresses a number of concerns with regards to the adequacy of retirement savings in the CPF.
