BY all accounts, Narendra Modi won many hearts in his recent three-city swing through China, his first as prime minister.
That was not surprising, given his penchant for creating high media visibility and raising India's profile during his foreign visits. The energy and passion on display was nothing short of a consummate artist's.
He is no stranger to China, having visited it in the past in search of investments for his state, Gujarat. Unlike his predecessors, he has been an admirer of the Chinese economic miracle, which he wants India to emulate - and quickly too.
