IN "Catalist stocks underperforming, sponsor conflicts need fixing: study" (BT, Aug 12), it was reported that 56.5 per cent of Catalist companies made losses for FY2019. In fact, the statistics seem to suggest that the longer a Catalist company is listed, the more sustained and serious the losses.
For Catalist companies listed for less than seven years, only 37 per cent made losses. However, this figure rises to 71per cent for companies listed for more than seven years.
The commentary "Independence of Catalist sponsors crucial" (BT, Aug 18) highlighted another problem on the sponsor side of things.
