How would this change how patients and professionals view the efficacy of healthcare in Singapore?
With a double-barrelled problem of a rapidly ageing population and a growing population, Singapore is facing not only a hospital bed crunch, but a more fundamental issue of access to efficient, affordable and quality healthcare.
Hospitals, clinics and healthcare institutions cannot keep up with the influx of patients and demand for medical consultation. Singapore's Healthcare 2020 plan, unveiled in 2012, addresses these issues.
