    DURING the presidential election campaign, we were told by political scientists, using terms that were products of abstract thinking, that Donald Trump represented a political "insurgency" against the "establishment" in Washington.

    In reality, there was no "insurgency" being steered from a central headquarters, and members of the so-called "establishment" didn't meet in secret locations to coordinate their operations.
