MANAGING the workforce effectively is a challenge that all companies face. Every employer seeks to retain the best talent; encourages staff to be motivated, innovative, productive and committed in an increasingly competitive talent market. According to a recent global study The Experience of Work: The Role of Technology in Productivity and Engagement conducted by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), sponsored by Citrix, the answer to retaining the best talent is cultivating positive work experience.

The study found that the experience of employees is on the radar of business management, and is a topic of discussion among senior management in 81 per cent of companies surveyed globally. Even though up to 95 per cent of Singaporean senior management place employee experience on the agenda, the country's workers are among the least engaged in the Asia-Pacific. This is prompting companies in the country, like many around the world, to pay closer attention to the working experience that they create for their employees.
