Waiting out Trump era as America's global standing wanes
IT is entirely telling, if of absolutely no surprise, that the global image of the United States has worsened for a second straight year under Donald Trump.
And that's apart from sustained poor ratings for the US president himself - and from a survey of 25 countries that are mostly traditional American allies.
In Pew Research Center's latest findings on global attitudes and trends, a median of 43 per cent of respondents have a decidedly unfavourable view of the US. Pew - a nonpartisan American organisation based in Washington, DC - polled more than 26,000 people in the 25 nations between May and August.
