Where AI really means business amid the buzz

There are three areas where artificial intelligence will create positive user cases for businesses and gain traction rapidly.

    WHAT is it about Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has everybody in jitters? Whether you are an AI evangelist or fatalist, one must take a pragmatic view in foretelling the key to success by using the strengths of AI and the human brain together. They must work in tandem for the good of consumers, for corporate customers and the high-tech industry. To be sure, AI will finagle its way into every corner of our lives.

    It is often profiled as either the end of the world as we know it, one in which robots will take all our jobs, or the answer to all our problems, in that it is the ultimate solution to save the planet. It's ironic that such a complex technology often provokes such a simple, binary response.

    And that's a problem. The truth is less dramatic, at least in the short term, but far more relevant here and now, as anyone who actually works with AI will tell you. These are the three areas which I believe will pioneer user cases for businesses and gain traction rapidly:
