Why not just increase water prices only for the rich?

HAVING come out in strong support of the upcoming increase in water prices in recent interviews, I have received email accusing me of being "unfeeling" and "disgusting", including remarks like "I absolutely detest you".

There must be some inadequate understanding, partly because the full context in media interviews often cannot be conveyed due to space or time constraints. I hope this article may provide some explanation.
