Published Wed, Jul 20, 2016 · 09:50 PM

YOUNG professionals today seek fast career advancement, international exposure, and early leadership opportunities. Even in today's world of slowing economies and uncertain job markets, these goals are still achievable as companies continue to be on the lookout for talents.

A recent study by the Manpower Group reported that 40 per cent of employers in Singapore faced talent shortage. The lack of technical (34 per cent) and workplace (17 per cent) proficiencies are among the main reasons cited for the shortage. It is therefore important for aspiring professionals to expand their skills and knowledge to remain highly marketable. They should also seek a thriving industry that provides the opportunity to grow and pushes their limits.
