INNOVATION has always been the driving force behind technological progress. Nowhere is this more evident than in the field of cybersecurity. Over time, our defences against cyberthreats have evolved from basic firewalls and encryption methods to sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI)-driven tools.
In the past, those rule-based point measures were sufficient because cyberthreats were less frequent and less sophisticated. However, the digital landscape changed dramatically with the advent of the Internet. New vulnerabilities emerged, necessitating more advanced security protocols. Antivirus software has become essential, providing real-time protection against malware.
But, that was just the beginning. As cyberattacks grew in complexity and frequency, so did the industry’s response. The industry developed multi-factor authentication, intrusion detection systems and comprehensive encryption techniques.
