Europe seeks to shift sentiment about its economic and political prospects
AS 2025 begins, there is much gloom surrounding Europe’s economic and political prospects. However, the region may be at a historical hinge point where sentiment changes unexpectedly.
Indeed, the range of realistic outcomes facing the region now may not have been as wide, at least since the beginning of the post-Cold War era. What makes Europe’s future economic and political pathway so hard to forecast is the sheer breadth of issues in play.
The region has, of course, faced many crises in recent decades. However, none may have been as complex, or had as many causes, as the one that the European Union and the region’s other key nations are experiencing now.
