GE senior VP Nabil Habayeb believes that sustainability and economic growth need not be a zero-sum game - technology can bridge the gap between growth and environmental concerns.
NABIL Habayeb is clear about what has kept him going at General Electric for four decades (and counting).
"It's about the passion," says the GE senior vice-president, who also wears another hat at the iconic 129-year-old company, looking after its international business as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of GE International Markets.
Speaking to The Business Times over video conferencing while on a visit to Washington DC, the Dubai-based Habayeb recalls starting out as a young GE engineer building a power plant in Iraq.
