IN a world where renewables are gaining increasing stature, environmentalists might look askance at firms that persist in traditional energy generation.
Yet that is perhaps too black-and-white a way of viewing the imperative of moving towards sustainable energy.
"The energy transition, in my view, is really a set of different journeys. And these journeys are individual," says Jochen Eickholt, member of the executive board of Siemens Energy AG, which was spun off from the Siemens Group in April and listed independently in September.
