AT first glance, Sylvie Ouziel is a surprising pick for a greentech leader in Asia. An engineer by training, she has never identified as much of an environmentalist. Until last January, her life's work was spent in consultancy and insurance. Yet here she is now, based in Singapore as Envision Digital's international president. The artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) company she leads is part of Envision Group - a sustainability player also active in wind turbines and electric vehicle (EV) batteries, founded in China in 2007.
Today, Ms Ouziel is a vocal evangelist for AIoT-empowered solutions to renewable energy challenges. The Business Times (BT) meets her at Envision Digital's headquarters, on the 17th floor of Keppel Bay Tower. As we converse, it soon becomes clear: her presence here is no accident, but a product of willpower and design.
Mankind never went backwards
