This brings a renewed focus on the Paris Agreement, where countries commit to reducing their emissions to limit the global temperate increase to 1.5 deg C.
Digital technology is a key enabler in managing information to achieve crucial goals, such as meeting compliance and reporting requirements, as well as driving operational changes to achieve sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) targets.
Ironically, the rapid adoption of these digital technologies comes at a cost of high energy consumption, resulting in increased greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
