COVID-19 has wrought long-lasting change in everything from flexible work arrangements to supply chain strategies, but there is at least one area where pandemic-era developments are not sticking: the use of virtual or hybrid formats for annual general meetings (AGMs).
Just as some bosses mandate a return to the physical office, major listed companies in Singapore seem to prefer having shareholders attend AGMs in person.
Companies have been allowed to hold digital meetings under temporary Covid-19 orders, introduced when the pandemic situation made physical meetings untenable.
