AS THE second quarter approaches, many businesses are reviewing their Q1 performance and planning for the months ahead. While financial and operational strategies take centre stage, one area that often gets overlooked is digital infrastructure. Outdated files, inefficient storage systems, and security gaps can slow operations, drive up costs, and expose organisations to cyber risks. Rather than waiting for issues to arise, businesses should act now to optimise their digital environment and strengthen security before the next quarter begins.

Effective data management isn’t just about keeping things organised. It ensures that businesses maximise their information assets, foster innovation, and stay competitive. With artificial intelligence (AI) adoption increasing and cybersecurity threats evolving, businesses need to ensure that their digital infrastructure is future-ready. A structured approach to digital management will not only improve efficiency, but also reduce unnecessary risks.

According to the Hitachi Vantara State of Data Infrastructure survey, Asia is leading global AI adoption, with 42 per cent of organisations considering AI critical to their operations, compared with the global average of 37 per cent.
