Is tech consolidation an opportunity for investors?

Before jumping on beaten down tech stocks, carefully consider if they have already seen their best days

    THIS past week, The Business Times reported growing talk of a looming consolidation of the so-called “on-demand platforms” for transport and food delivery services.

    I can’t help feeling partly responsible for their troubles. Through most of 2020 and 2021, I was buzzing food delivery riders through my front gate as often as twice a day. While I initially did this out of necessity, I soon grew to enjoy the convenience of being able to have meals from my favourite eateries quickly delivered to my home.

    And, perhaps because I could not go anywhere, I was splurging on things that could be delivered directly to me – especially food.
