    DOCTOR, lawyer, engineer or accountant – these are professions that Singaporean parents stereotypically encourage their children to pursue.

    But dream jobs can fall in or out of favour, and the latest addition to that list may be Big Tech.

    Digitalisation of the economy, which was accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, fuelled interest in technology-related degrees. Yet fresh tech grads have griped about their hiring prospects.
