    WILL the outcome of next week’s US presidential election alter the trajectory of America’s relations with its largest rival, China?

    The short answer, according to analysts, is “no”. The long answer is more nuanced.

    One reason for saying “no” is that China and the West have in recent years been on a “fairly specific and predictable” path, Alex Capri, adjunct senior lecturer at the National University of Singapore Business School tells The Business Times.
