Workplace mental health and psychological safety

IN 2022, the European Union agency for occupational safety and health (EU-OSHA) conducted its Flash Eurobarometer – OSH Pulse survey, interviewing over 27,000 employed workers across all EU member states and two non-EU nations, Iceland and Norway. The focus was on the mental and physical health stressors workers face at their workplace.

More than four out of ten workers surveyed said their work stress has increased because of the pandemic, contributing negatively to occupational safety and health in post-pandemic workplaces.

Interestingly, the survey also revealed that talking about mental health in the workplace is no longer a taboo.
