Creating a new global standard in business education
In this climate of rapid globalisation, standardised professional education is the key to driving economic growth worldwide.
SINGAPORE recently bore witness to the launch of the ICC Academy - a groundbreaking educational initiative from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), launched in association with IE Singapore. Based in Singapore, the academy aims to promote global growth by providing high-quality, standardised business education to professionals around the world.
The ICC Academy has been created in response to the current global business environment. Easy and affordable worldwide communication has made business a truly global affair - and the opportunities this creates for international partnerships are only just beginning to be realised. Meanwhile, the continued rise in trade between emerging markets is seeing the growth of new multinationals, the opening of new trade corridors, and the creation of even more potential business partners.
Obstacles remain, however. Differing political and economic contexts mean that business practices vary greatly from country to country. These regional differences often obstruct deals between international partners and need to be overcome. ICC specialises in establishing the rules and standards for international transactions, and feels that new global standards in business education will help remove obstacles to international trade.
