Last days: Chaos, armed insurrection and a vengeful loser
EVEN ardent critics of outgoing US President Donald Trump might grant him some policy achievements to show for his term of office - particularly during the pre-coronavirus first three years. This includes the corporate tax reform and the advancement of peace between Arabs and Israelis.
And while there is general agreement that his management of the US response to Covid-19 has been catastrophic, his administration deserves some credit for facilitating the speedy drive to develop the vaccines to fight the pandemic.
Indeed, Mr Trump could have been spending his last weeks in office celebrating the development of the new vaccines that would save the lives of many Americans this year, while touting some of his policy wins.
