Realpolitik's name of the game for US, Russia

No need for fist-bumps or threats and recriminations. Presidents Biden and Putin are just two leaders trying to resolve their disputes and forge a working relationship.

    YOU can say a lot of things about US President Joe Biden. That he makes a lot of gaffes and that at 78 years of age, he gets confused sometimes.

    Hence during the recent G-7 leaders meeting he might have embarrassed himself when he tried to correct British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for not introducing "the president of South Africa", even though PM Johnson already did so by name, and seemed to confuse "Syria" with "Libya".

    And during a press conference following his recent meeting with President Vladimir Putin, he referred to the Russian leader as "President Trump" and then corrected himself.
