I WOULD like to thank Singtel's chairman, Simon Israel, for enlightening readers further on his CEO's pay structure, in his letter "Hike in Singtel CEO's pay is not based on profit alone" (BT, June 24).

I note that Mr Israel says that "there is a long-term incentive scheme in the form of performance shares" which appear to be awarded once a year. Could he inform BT readers further on how long these performance shares need to be held before they are eligible to be sold in the open market?
