The bicentennial's impact on brand Singapore
Inclusive self-determination and multiculturalism are cornerstones.
AS SINGAPORE'S bicentennial year draws to a close, what is its impact on brand Singapore?
Some observers, including Jonathan McClory from the Soft Power 30 Index (where Singapore retained its 21st ranking this year), have noted the potential for aspects of the content from Singapore's bicentennial year initiatives to be communicated more to international audiences. This would further deepen understanding of how far this nation has come, and what it stands for today.
My take is that this bicentennial year looks set to influence Singapore's country brand in at least five main aspects.
