MY next-door neighbour is a daytime soap opera addict. If it's late morning or early afternoon, you can be sure that she is probably watching Days of Our Lives or General Hospital. Who cares about the bad news coming out from the Middle East or the recent congressional vote on the budget as long as we can tune in to the Young and the Restless.
Or at least that was the case until recently. A few days ago, my neighbour approached me when I was exiting the elevator, inquiring about my views on the US' relationship with Russia? And what about the US embassy in Israel? "Sean just announced that Trump won't relocate it from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem," she noted.
