Two main parties are likely to become more intransigent amid a slide towards impeachment
SOME would say that it has been just another week of the Washington Reality Show in the Donald Trump Age of Politics as Kindergarten, with Republicans and Democrats circling one another, putting out angry put-downs and abuse.
It all started last Wednesday morning, when President Trump stormed out of a meeting in the Oval Office of the White House that had included Democratic Congressional leaders, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York.
The scheduled gathering was supposed to focus on ways the White House and Congress could work together on advancing a plan to revamp America's crumbling infrastructure - a national goal that enjoys bipartisan support.
