SO HERE we are at the end of the first half of the basketball game, and your team is winning it big, 5-0! Then the second half starts, and this is unbelievable. One of the players in the other team shows up with a small ladder, places it in front of the backboard, climbs on it, and goes on to shoot 10 basketballs through the ring. Your team loses the game, 10-5.
This could play out on the Monty Python comedy show. But it obviously didn't happen and will never happen during a basketball game when the players have to follow clear and strict rules. In fact, your team could end up losing the game, and certainly would be suspended, if you violate them.
