Asia's first YOTEL opening in the heart of Singapore

YOTEL, the chain of microhotels,will open its first in Asia on Sunday in the heart of Singapore.
Located at 366 Orchard Road, YOTEL Singapore integrates elements of luxury hotels into smartly designed spaces to provide guests with "everything they need and nothing they don't".
It has 610 rooms, called"cabins", each equipped with an adjustable Smartbed, a technowall and smart TV, across 30 floors.
Created by Yo! founder Simon Woodroffe, the concept drew inspiration from Japanese capsule hotels infused with a sense of compact luxury from the British Airways first class lounge.
The first YOTEL was opened in 2007 at London Gatwick with 46 "cabins", followed by one at Heathrow airport with 32.
YOTEL CEO Hubert Viriot said his company is thrilled to introduced its "cabins", co-working spaces and club lounge concept to Singapore, adding that its innovative style of hospitality will suit those living or visiting the island republic.
General manager of YOTEL Singapore said: "A stay at YOTEL is all about intuitive service and saving our guests time so that they can get on with the things (that are) important to them."
The group will be opening its second YOTEL at Jewel Changi Airport in 2018.
