BT strengthens property coverage with new premium newsletter
THE Business Times has launched a newsletter offering weekly, original analysis into Singapore’s property market, and beyond.
Named Property Insights, the newsletter will reach subscribers every Tuesday and will feature exclusive analysis aimed at providing investors and homeowners with insights they can act on.
Signing up to the newsletter is free for now, and the first issue will be sent out on Tuesday (Jan 10).
Deputy news editor Michelle Low, who heads up BT’s property coverage, said she is excited to bring her team’s reporting across commercial, industrial and residential real estate to a new channel for BT’s users.
The newsletter will leverage award-winning journalism from a team of veteran newshounds, including senior correspondent Kalpana Rashiwala, who has over 20 years of experience reporting on Singapore’s private property market.
It will also expand on BT’s existing offerings, including a regular real estate column by senior correspondent Leslie Yee, The Level Ground, and the PropertyBT podcast, which interviews industry players on issues ranging from HDB resale prices to real estate investment trusts and property developers.

The newsletter will offer discussions of local property movements each week. With Singaporeans increasingly invested in property abroad, there will also be a section highlighting the top relevant property happenings globally.
“Property is a longstanding core pillar of BT’s coverage, and the launch of this newsletter shows our commitment to bringing the best of our property coverage to readers across different platforms,” said Low.
The launch of Property Insights follows the success of ESG Insights, a weekly newsletter featuring original analysis on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues in South-east Asia.
The newsletter, written by deputy news editor Kenneth Lim, launched last June.
BT editor Chen Huifen said the new property newsletter is part of an ongoing expansion of BT’s premium newsletter offerings as it grows its editorial and product capabilities.
“We are constantly looking at new ways to increase the value of a BT subscription for our loyal subscribers, and enhancing the quality and variety of our newsletter offerings is a key part of that,” said Chen.
