BT's newest podcast focuses on Singapore property
Singapore
IS IT more beneficial to rent or own private property? Should singles be allowed to purchase prime location public housing (PLH) flats? In a time riddled with inflation and cooling measures, what are some of the real estate segments worth investing in?
These are just a few questions that will be raised in TheBusiness Times' newest podcast, PropertyBT, hosted by senior correspondent Leslie Yee.
Focusing on Singapore property, the 15-minute episodes will look at issues such as places to invest, concerns of potential homebuyers, as well as current changes in the real estate landscape.
Anyone with an interest in the property sector as an investor or homeowner can look forward to topics spanning public and private housing as well as the commercial market.
New episodes will be released every fourth Thursday of each month, starting from today (Mar 24). This week's episode will touch on what is often the first homes of many Singaporeans: HDB's build-to-order (BTO) flats.

Every episode of the podcast will also include thoughts from a rotating panel of industry analysts to offer varying perspectives on the issues at hand.
Yee said: "It seeks to be relevant and helpful for listeners to stay on top or ahead of developments in the property market. Hopefully the result is that the patient listener gets a multi-dimensional education on the topic in question in a manner that is clear and entertaining."
