APPROXIMATELY 100 Buddhist monks on Friday marched in the capital Phnom Penh amid rumours that the Ministry of Cults and Religion has leased a parcel of the iconic Buddhist Institute's land to a nearby NagaWorld hotel and casino.
After marching, the protesting monks rallied on the pavement of a street in front of the Royal Palace and called on the Ministry of Cults and Religion to stop either demolishing the complex of the Buddhist Institute or leasing the parcel of the Buddhist Institute's land to the NagaWorld hotel and casino.
