Colliers fills industrial services team with new recruits
Singapore
COLLIERS International (Singapore) has renewed its industrial services team with new additions. The team will be headed by industrial space veteran Lim Kien Kim, who joins Colliers as executive director.
Together with him are three others - Catherine Ng joins Colliers as a director; Steven Chew as senior manager; and Marine Lee as manager.
With more than 20 years in the industrial property sector, Mr Lim has held senior positions in other real estate firms, and structured more than S$600 million worth of industrial deals to-date, Colliers pointed out. He has also provided advisory services covering new builds, space utilisation, investment strategies and Reits.
Colliers Singapore managing director Tang Wei Leng said this latest recruitment brings the industrial services division team strength to seven members.
"Kien Kim will drive the Industrial Services business in Singapore, with specific focus on customised and insightful solutions to accelerate the success of our clients," she added.
"The Division will better align with the corporate growth strategy and leverage the Asia Occupier Services platform to enhance our client offerings."
During his stint at Knight Frank from 2012 to 2015, Mr Lim was executive director leading the industrial department when Ms Ng, Mr Chew and Ms Lee were there. Last November, Mr Lim left Knight Frank to join OrangeTee as senior associate director.
One of the notable transactions that Mr Lim and his team at Knight Frank brokered was to provide advisory services to a 400,000-square-foot industrial facility, from design stage to providing occupier services and eventually finding a single tenant who took up 50 per cent of the building.
The team also succeeded in helping a Japanese multinational company lease a replacement property of about 22,000 sq ft, at very competitive rental terms within one month, Colliers said in a release.
These new appointments, which will take effect on Feb 15, followed a spate of departures at Colliers Singapore. The latest departures saw senior executives in its industrial services team including the division head Tan Boon Leong leaving for Knight Frank last month.
