Condo, apartment and HDB rents up 0.1% in April on fewer leasing transactions: SRX
RENTALS of condominiums and private apartments as well as Housing & Development Board (HDB) flats rose 0.1 per cent in April compared to March, according to SRX Property data released on Thursday.
By region, private rents in the Core Central Region (city centre) increased by 2.3 per cent, while in the Rest of Central Region (city fringe) and Outside Central Region (suburbs), rents fell 0.2 per cent and 1.3 per cent respectively.
Private rental volume fell 18.7 per cent to about 3,653 units rented in April, compared to 4,493 units rented in March.
For HDB flats, rentals of three-room, five-room and executive flats rose 0.1 per cent, 0.4 per cent and 2.2 per cent respectively, while rentals of four-room flats decreased 0.7 per cent.
HDB rents in mature estates rose 0.4 per cent, versus rents in non-mature estates, which decreased 0.3 per cent.
HDB rental volume fell 17.2 per cent to 1,619 flats rented in April, from 1,956 units rented in March.
